Our stepper motor connector kits have been a big hit. One question we get a lot from folks purchasing the connector kits is 'What crimper do you use?'. In the shop here we have been using a ratcheting crimper for the past several years. We have made hundreds of cables with this tool and have been very, very happy with it.
Given the interest expressed by our customers we found a source to purchase the same crimper we use and are pleased to be able to offer it to you for a great price. The dies that come with the crimper have two crimping ranges and are suited for crimping the types of pins used in our stepper connector kits (Molex MicroFit) and DSub type pins.
The crimper features ergonomic rubber coated handles with a solid ratcheting action. The ratchet action lets you insert the pin, and close the tool one or two notches to hold it in place and then insert the wire and once everything is lined up you can finish the crimp. This helps to insure a solid, quality crimp every time.
The included die set has two size ranges for different size terminals and the dies can be changed for dies that will crimp a wide variety of connectors. We don't carry the additional dies at this time but if you have a need to crimp a particular type of connector let us know and well see if we can get the right dies for you.
