The TAIGTurn 2000 CNC Lathe is a top of the line desktop CNC lathe. It is a very rigid and precise machine that uses some of the most advanced techniques that allows it to produce parts that used to be done on machines that cost thousands of dollars more. With a rapid feed of up to 75 inches per minute you can go from tool to tool in just seconds. A key feature of the CNC Lathe is the ability to single point thread by using the optional tach sensor kit. The main frame consists of a 2.5" square steel tubing to provide a very solid feel. The leadscrews are all 1/2-20 unlike a lot of machines of similar size that use 1/4" leadscrews. The moving slides ride on Ground Steel Ways with full gib adjustments for wear as the years of use go by. Overall working accuracy should exceed .0005" or 0.0002" ballscrews.
